So are you after the Lien itself or the Real or personal property? If you purchase the real or personal property the person has the right to pay up and you do get your principal back but then you can&#039;t really sell I know the Real Property for a period of years until its been abandoned for a certian time period. These are all tricky especially with Real Estate as one would surely check what else is against the property that you as the buyer would get along with the property.</description>

Yeah, you have to make sure it is a self-directed IRA.  There&#039;s quite a few of independent agencies that will do it for you now.  A lot of brokerages don&#039;t like it because they don&#039;t make the commissions.  If you want more information on it, read this book below that I found helpful:
